A native of Daytona Beach, Mr. Rice received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1983. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida as well, majoring in Finance. In law school, Mr. Rice was a member of the prestigious political honorary, Florida Blue Key, and was also a member of the Phi Delta Phi Fraternity. In his undergraduate years, Mr. Rice was president of the Mortarboard Honor Society, vice president of the Inter fraternity Council, a Student Senator and secretary of his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega.
